I'm Spencer van Vloten, a writer, editor, and community advocate from Vancouver, BC, Canada.

I'm passionate about community living, social policy, and highlighting the great work that British Columbians do in their communities. Many of their stories are featured on BC Disability and You & Me BC.

I'm also grateful to have been awarded the Medal of Good Citizenship by the province of BC, the City of Vancouver Excellence Award, the BC Achievement Foundation Community Award, as well as being named Rick Hansen Foundation Difference Maker of the Year.
